A Trip to the Homeland
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and beginning to the Christmas season! I was blessed to spend this past month of November visiting family and friends. I also had the privilege to speak, and talk about ministry life in several different places. Check out all that happened!
Visiting Family and Friends
I was able to spend a good amount of time with my family. My sister got engaged just before I flew in! Super exciting time!
It was a blessing to visit Grace Church in Des Moines, Iowa. In a past newsletter I shared how they sent a missions team to serve in Panama over the summer. It was neat sit-in on their English and Spanish services! I was also able to visit with the youth and share about missionary life and the ministry in Panama:)
Grace Church, Iowa
Speaking to the teachers and students of Discovery Home School Academy(above). Sharing in the 5th graders class at Joshua Christian Academy (below).
One of my favorite things to do, is visit my home church:) It's always encouraging to share the past years ministry and to catch up with everyone!
I also have some exciting news. While in the States I spoke with my sending church, Lee's Summit Bible, about joining Global Faith Mission Agency. I'm thrilled to share with you this was a well supported step, and God has shown Himself in this decision. I am now partnered with Global Faith, and this brings many good things for myself as a missionary, but also to my sending church, LSBC. There will be some changes that occur as I go through this transition. For those that are partners with me in ministry, I have an email specifically for you that you will be receiving with more detail as to what things will look like. If you are considering partnering and would like more information as well, please feel free to contact me for more information.
Please pray for:
- The continued ministry in Panama, especially in the start of 2019
- Wisdom in decision making (Big decisions pop up more often than what might be expected!)
- Getting adjusted to new ministry administration
I can't say thank you enough for your prayers, encouragement, and support! On November 22, Thanksgiving day, I completed 4 years on the field. It made Thanksgiving that much more special! Here's to the beginning of year 5! May God move in mighty ways and lead us closer to Him!
