Greetings from Urubamba
I finished teaching my seminary class two weeks ago and Casandra began the next three week module, all of us in good spirits, despite all my kids calling me "Crutchy" instead of Dad.
Two weeks into Casandra's class, half of her students came down with Covid (along with others in the seminary) and the class continued virtually. Casandra is currently experiencing some mild Covid-like symptoms and taking some home remedies and precautionary medicine.
As Covid has maintained Cusco in the RED ZONE, services have been suspended, but we have continued most ministries through the internet: preaching, teaching, and discipling.
This coming Sunday, our church has a scheduled "business meeting" to vote on a new constitution which would allow us to apply for exemption status before the State. Please pray for the unity of the Spirit to guide and guard in the upcoming meeting. Additionally, the co-pastor, Rubén, has been assuming more and more responsibilities in the church, and preparing for us to step out of the pastorate, the first week of September.
We are praying for the Lord to open doors for evangelizing, and one intrepid young man I am working with has set the goal of going to the main plaza in Urubamba on Sunday mornings to share the gospel. We praise the Lord for his love and passion.
May the grace of Jesus Christ guard each one as you continue your journey toward Christlikeness.
Yours in Christ,
Eric for the Pardines
