Helping Missionaries Reach People for Christ
These last months have been so different for all of us with Covid 19 changing our lives in so many ways. But the Lord has it all under control and we trust that where He has us now is exactly where we need to be.
We were pretty well contained at home since we have Jess recuperating from colon cancer and mom, who is 95 years old. But Praise the Lord! He gave us many opportunities in spite of the virus. Jess was able to do some heating and a/c work in January at our home church before things closed down so much. We were able to send 20 Jesus films to India, 75 to the Philippines, and 75 to missionaries in Germany. We were also able to send headlights, solar chargers, Jesus films and eyeglasses with a missionary friend going to Costa Rica and into villages in surrounding countries.
In February, March and April we helped a missionary in Peru with a computer. We also sent 50 Jesus films, 10 messengers and 10 solar chargers with him. We also sent solar chargers to the Honduras during that time.
An elderly man at our church has a ministry of giving out tracts and Jesus films and we supplied 50 Jesus films for his soul winning.
Following an article that In Touch Magazine did on our ministry we were contacted by a retired insurance agent in Ohio who gave a generous gift to our ministry allowing us to help with a generator for a church in Guatemala. We were also able to help with money
toward a library project in the Yucatan. The Lord also provided through that money the ability to help our mission board with money toward badly needed broadcasting equipment. One other project was being able to help on a church expansion project in
So, Praise the Lord, Covid 19 may have a lot closed down but the the Word of the Lord is being sent all over the world and the Lord is opening doors even though we cannot be doing projects right now. The camp where we do a lot of work is not allowing
volunteers right now.
Prayer requests :
1. That the Lord will continue to open doors for ministry in His Way in His timing! We may feel like we cannot do much hands-on but we pray for Him to continue to give us opportunities to help other missionaries!
2. Continued good health for Jess. We had a check-up in Tijuana, Mexico in May. Things are going extremely well and we praise the Lord for that.
3. For PATIENCE during this time - we have so much we want to be out doing for the Lord. But He has blessed us with things to distribute until we can get out and work again.
Thanks again for partnering with us in our ministry both through praying and giving. May the Lord bless you and keep you all well and safe!
