12 pieces of Luggage, 4 Personal Items, and a Stroller
I sat near the soccer court in our village and watched our pastor and assistant pastor direct forty church members and forty North Americans from a missions group through games and activities. They had both planned and put together the entire night to celebrate Peru’s independence day. I had no hand in any of it.
It is hard to believe all that God has done since we landed here almost five years ago. The people we have met and the lives that have been changed through His saving grace. Thinking about those same lives brings me back to why we need to be here.
There are so many more in this country that don’t know Him. So many that need someone to share His love and saving power with them. There is still so much to do, but now, we need a break. We have purchased our tickets, and are set to leave on October 1st at 1AM with 2 toddlers, 12 pieces of luggage, 4 personal items, 2 car seats, and our stroller.
It is hard moving, and it is even harder moving continents. We have built a home here and now have to abandon everything to return home. It is certainly bittersweet, but necessary. We need your prayers. From having to sell everything we own and start anew when we return, to having to say goodbye to our home and friends, none of it will be easy.
We also need your help financially. Our main purpose in returning home is to raise more support, but before we can even begin that process, we have to get home. We need funds to for tickets, purchasing a car, cell phones, and basic items upon returning. We also need help in finding a car and our living arrangements are still not 100%. If you can help with any of these things, please let us know. We only have two months before we leave, and things are coming down to the wire. God has always been faithful, and I don’t see Him stopping now.
We have a few more large events before we leave with our church. They are planning them on their own so we are only going to be there as visitors. Their children’s outreach, the largest of the year, is scheduled to happen this Saturday the 3rd in the morning, and we still have the anniversary service to plan. We covet your prayers as we finish the race God has set before us. Thank you!
Thank you for all you do for us! Please feel free to contact us via email or through our Facebook page at “Pruetts in Peru”. We have lots of photos there to see. Most importantly, we are thankful for your support. We can not do what God has asked us to do without you. Thank you!
