Pruett's Prayer Letter
May 14th EZRA UPDATE:
We wanted to give everyone an update on Ezra. We made it to the dentist and she told us that Ezra broke both of his front teeth off in his gum and badly damaged the gums as well as mangled his lips.
She also gave us some great news. She feels like she can fix him without the need for surgery, and that she feels like after a few trips, he won't have any lasting, permanent damage. His adult teeth are still encased in the bone of his jaw and since the jaw was undamaged, his adult teeth should come in fine as long as the gum heals correctly.
Praise God for answered prayer! Thank you all for all your prayer and assistance! The doctor and dentist both could not quite understand why Ezra was in no pain, but we know it was prayer that kept him calm and without pain.
We will try to give an update once we have one. He has to go several weeks before both the front teeth are pulled so he can heal a bit before the procedure. Please continue to pray no complications arise.
We can never thank you all enough!
The young man we trained to be the pastor of our third church, Papo, was officially voted in, and is doing a great job. He has a lot on his hands with all of the Covid restrictions. They are currently holding two services on their village soccer court. They all have to have two face masks as well as face shields while outside in order to attend, which, as you can imagine, has been hard. God is blessing and people are still getting saved.
Papo has been able to share the gospel with many people, but the ones he has been praying for the most are his family. His uncle was the latest to accept Christ. Sadly, this was on his deathbed, but praise God that when he passed last week, he entered in to see Christ! We praise God that He is still in the soul saving business!
Our fundraising has been going well. We just finished a long trip up the East Coast. It was a blessed trip where we got to fellowship with God’s people and share our ministry. We spent time at several churches and picked up two new supporters. We are closing in on 100%. Please continue to pray with us that the Lord will bring in the rest of our support before we leave.
We are currently in a great state of need. Our son, Ezra, fell yesterday (May 12th) and severely damaged his mouth. We have visited the ER and they assessed that he didn't break any bones, but we are visiting the dentist today to find out if surgery can be avoided.
We ask for your aid in two ways. The first is in prayer that he will not have permanent, lasting damage to his mouth, and second, in financial aid. We have a Christian based insurance, but the deductible is very high. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.
We will send out an update as soon as we know more.
Please feel free to contact us via email at Trulyisplenteous@gmail.com or through our Facebook page at “Pruetts in Peru” or our newest addition, Instagram at Pruetts_in_Peru. Most importantly, we are thankful for your support. We cannot do what God has asked us to do without you.
Thank you for all your prayers and support.
Patrick, Teresa, Isa, and Ezra
