Pursuing Partnership - The DeLand Family
First of all, we want to say thank you to those who take the time to read our update letters and express our appreciation to those families who respond from time to time. Your response greatly encourages us, reminding us that we are not alone even if we are separated by a great distance.
We are writing this short note to ask if you or your church would consider partnering with us financially on a monthly basis. We are not scheduled to return to the states until October 2018 and we are in need of at least $1,500 more monthly support. We have not lost any support, but have just been under supported financially for years and it is starting to take its toll. If you would be interested in learning more details about our ministry here in Perú and how you could help financially, please just send us an email at email@example.com
If you cannot partner with us on a monthly basis, but would like to give toward a specific need, here are a few you could choose from:
1. It will cost us $315 for the moving truck to take our stuff to Ayavirí on August 15th.
2. We have asked the owners of the house we will rent in Ayavirí to add a door and some windows to the balcony outside of our bedrooms since it is so cold in the mountains and we have to use an outside hallway to go to the restroom. This project will cost $445 to complete.
3. We also need to buy some pantry type shelves and dressers for the kids' clothes for the house in Ayavirí (our dressers here in Lima are built into the closet space) This will cost roughly $300.
4. Lastly, we have to buy some food items in bulk that we cannot easily access in the mountains and our grocery bill will be a lot higher the first month due to that if somebody would like to help with purchasing food items.
If you would be interested in partnering with us in one of these needs, please let us know and the money given will be used specifically for that.
Thanks again for all of your encouragement, love, support, and prayers--we appreciate everyone who is partnering with us here in Perú.
