Waiting & Resting

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

The Psalmist shares his heart during a difficult time early in his life, and what is believed to be his flight from King Saul when he says; “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.‬ Psalm 27:13,14
In the last several months, all of us have had to "Wait on the Lord" in some form or another! We found ourselves facing many unknowns not having an idea of what would happen next. By prayer and supplication with thanksgiving we let our requests be made known to God to act, lead, respond, direct or provide. We prayed for wisdom, knowledge and direction.
Furthermore, we discovered "Waiting" can be difficult. And even more so when it is evident we lack the ability to control the results!
But, "Waiting" is worth it! Especially when we are waiting on and resting in Almighty God! The Scripture tells us; "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it."
1 Thess. 5:24
Our hearts are filled with gratitude and we are encouraged by what God has done through His people:
rogers june 2020
  • God has supplied every need
  • We've learned how to navigate and better apply technology in ministry
  • Several souls have been saved online, both with individual appointments and during online services (in spite of distractions and being cut off suddenly)
  • We started meeting 2x's a week rather than 1 time a week per Church
  • Online attendance with weekly visitors has been greater than before we met online
  • The training of both laymen and their wives has continued
  • The Church has become more unified by looking out one for another making sure phone data is paid so each family can attend online services, carrying boxed staple non-perishable goods or "despensas" to those who were forced to stop work, collecting an offering so a Church family's Uncle who had passed away could be removed from the morgue and buried, and collecting another offering to provide a Shelter for Women & Children with food (the Shelter where we had services every Sat. morning prior to Covid)
  • The Church has become more sensitive and aware of the lost as they see the Return of Christ closer than ever before
Waiting on and Resting in God is Worth it!
And this, God has done through YOU because you prayed, you gave and you've been faithful to Him! Thank you for your texts, emails, phone calls, and encouragement!! Thank you for the privilege of representing you in leading souls to Christ, discipleship and church planting!
May God bless you all!
We remain, your servants in Christ,
