Walter is a product of our Spanish ministry in Chattanooga. After the Lord saved him, Walter ultimately returned to his native Guatemala to serve the Lord in pastoral work. Today he pastors "Iglesia Manantial de Vida" in Tacaná, Guatemala.
Two years ago, I spoke at this church for their Anniversary Bible Conference. It was a blessing to see how God is using Walter. In almost every service, the church building was filled to capacity.
However, the worship services were plagued by frequent power outages while I was there. It was common for them to occur while the church events were in progress. These outages continue to this day.
I was privileged to stay with Walter and his family while speaking at their church conference. They welcomed me with open arms. Olinda is a wonderful cook. All six of their children shared with household chores.
This church urgently needs a standby generator so that they can have electricity for church events when the local power grid goes down. The generator that they need costs $2300 dollars.
This particular generator is on-site in Guatemala and can be purchased when the funds are available.
If you wish to help with this need you can donate online by visiting the Project Yucatan giving page. Please leave a note specifying that your gift is for the generator.
We appreciate those of you who faithfully pray for the ministries in which we are engaged. Your partnership is a constant source of blessing.
